I literally forgot that today is Friday…this week has been a blur! My parents were here with us from Friday-Tuesday and then my sister Dana arrived on Wednesday night, so our schedule has been thrown off in the very best way. Dave’s elbow surgery went well last week (thank you for your continued prayers!!) but he is in a splint and can’t use that arm, so needless to say, the help has been a tremendous blessing. Squeezing in a few favorites before heading into the weekend–we’re hoping to head a little bit west to explore Honeysuckle Tea House, do some blueberry picking, and picnic with the world’s best BLTs :)
1. Resharing the photo above that I posted on Instagram Stories earlier this week because this mask is perfect–SO breathable and comfortable, the prettiest Liberty print options, and only $11. (Masks will be restocked on the 20th so check back then!)
2. I can’t believe I haven’t mentioned this in a Love List yet but I have been loving the Libby app over the past few months. I’ve always found checking e-books out from the library to be a very clunky process, but Libby makes it easy and seamless. I much prefer physical books, but since most of my reading lately takes place while I’m nursing, being able to read on my phone is tremendously convenient.
3. Girl mamas, is it normal to be inspired by your daughter’s wardrobe? I picked up this $15 dress because I love the sweet, simple, solid-colored dresses I put Azelie in multiple times a week. It’s the perfect play dress, thanks to a relaxed fit and the fact that it’s machine washable. I have the blue and am waiting on the pink to be restocked in my size! Definitely size down if you’re between sizes–I tried both a small and a medium, and kept the small.
Continuing with another beach question, since y’all had GREAT tips about what to bring to the beach with kids! I’m not expecting to do much reading on the beach due to those aforementioned kids ;) But regardless, what’s your favorite beach read? Back in the day, my sisters and I would fly through Nicholas Sparks books on beach trips, but I also think this fun memoir would be perfect for a day by the water.
I just finished Eligible by Curtis Sittenfeld (based on Pride & Prejudice) while we were in Maine, and it was delightful!
Highly recommend The Lies That Bind by Emily Giffin
Nicholas Sparks used to be my go to beach read for sure! But if you haven’t read „Where the crawdads sing“, it’s perfect for the beach! Or anything by Jojo Moyes. „The Giver of Stars“ is next on my library list!
Enjoy the beach!!
