I think a wedding gown says a lot about what the wedding as a whole will be like. Crisp white A-line with some ribbon around the hem? There’s a good chance that this is a preppy wedding, and there may be seersucker, a waterfront view, and bridesmaids in pearls nearby. Ivory lace with a sweetheart neckline, keyhole back, and a long draping sash? Possibly a vintage-loving bride who incorporated lots of unique decor that she spent hours searching for.
My favorite weddings are full of sweet, unique details, delicate flowers, and all things feminine and romantic. It should come as no big surprise then that I love wedding dresses in over the top, super girly textures. Give me a full skirt of tulle, ruffles, scallops, swiss dots, or rosettes any day of the week! :)

Le sigh. I think I could admire these dresses all day!
Married/engaged-with-a-dress ladies, tell me about your wedding dresses! Did they match the overall theme or “feel” of your wedding in a special way? What sold you on that particular dress? And to the single ladies, what kind of wedding dress do you envision for yourself someday?
So excited to hear from y’all!
Love,
Lisa
You know which one I’m getting! :) hehe And hoping to get it ordered this weekend! Yay!
The second one you described (lace w/ keyhole back) is pretty much my dress, minus the sash. It just caught my eye and I went with it! The ladies at the bridal store said that was the shortest appointmetn they’d ever had, haha.
it must be timeless so i dont look back at my pictures and go well, it was nice back then…
you had me at “Give me a full skirt of tulle, ruffles, scallops, swiss dots, or rosettes any day of the week!” i think we’re meant to be friends :)
Get out of my HEAD girl :) Perfection. That belt in the last photo is the same belt I wore but in ivory. So clearly we think alike!! xoxo
