My Christmas gift to my mom this year was a pair of tickets to The Nutcracker Ballet, so last night, we headed to downtown Houston for the performance. Going to ballets with my mom is so special to me–ballet was my life for years, and she was always my number one supporter, so we get equally excited for our favorite numbers! For today’s inspiration board, I drew inspiration from The Nutcracker with festive evergreen, Land of Sweets-inspired shades of pink, and plenty of theater-reminiscent elegance.

If you’re a Nutcracker fan, tell me, what are your favorite dances? I have a soft spot for snowflakes, because I danced it back in the day, but the Sugar Plum Fairy and Nutcracker Prince pas de deux brings me to tears with how beautiful it is!
Last year, I went to the Nutcracker in Houston with my family, and I loved it! It’s such a beautiful show and definitely a wonderful inspiration! This is amazing…I love the sweet and feminine color palette…everything is just so very romantic!
This is so pretty! Belle and I would go to the Nutcracker every year with my Mom, Aunts, and Grandmother. It was always so fun to dress up and feel glamourous for the day! My favorite dance is always the Sugar Plum dance.
This is just perfect for Nutcracker! I love how everyone has their own favorite dances, especially in the 2nd act; I thought John was actually going to try and leap onstage with the Russian jumpers!
