As I mentioned yesterday, summer is well known as “wedding season,” and for good reason! Let’s take a look at the pros and cons of getting married between June and August.
{Pros}
Best chance of beautiful weather. Both indoor and outdoor (or a mix of both!) events are appropriate. Any color scheme under the sun can be pulled off easily. Wide variety of flowers and produce in season. Summer vacation time will make it easier for guests to schedule a trip, if necessary.
{Cons}
Major heat and humidity, in some locations. Prices are way up due to the popularity of the season. Vendors tend to get booked up quickly.
Any thoughts? I think summer is still my favorite season for weddings, but that’s just me! Don’t miss my pros and cons for spring here.
Have a great day!
Love,
Lisa
as a guest i would prefer summer weddings just because it’s easier to take off work than miss a few days of classes. and also, not having to worry about a coat as you would during a cooler season.
hooray! favorite season! all is well! :D
I think weather is better here in the Fall than Summer…at least this year! We’ve had rain in the forecast the last couple weeks :-P I do like what you’re able to do with bright, bold colors in summer weddings–very fun!
Great list, Lisa! I think fall is my fave time of the year to get married not because I got married in September but because, the weather, prices and time of year just feels right :) Hope you are well gorgeous!! xoxo
