I'm Lisa Kirk, a wife, mama, writer, and founder. Since 2010, Something Pretty has been home to my favorite memories, reflections, and inspirations. Thanks so much for reading!

The March Edit

Style

Over six months into curating them, I now always look forward to working on these monthly Edit posts! It’s the perfect excuse to peruse my favorite online stores and to search for common themes or color palettes in the pieces catching my eye. Loooongtime readers may remember that I used to share weekly wedding inspiration boards (you can still find them all here!), and working on these posts feels a little bit like the 2021 version of that. Unsurprisingly, the March Edit is full of cheerful colors, delicate floral prints, and pieces to bring spring from the outside in. I can’t wait to hear your favorite finds!

Something Pretty The March Edit

How fun is this puff-sleeve top? It’s $$$, so definitely an “admire from afar” style, but I’m still inspired by the unique way it incorporates a few splashes of color and print (while also offering the versatility of a white blouse).

I’m eager to make some guest room/office updates, and keep coming back to this laurel pillow in the prettiest spring green.

I recently came across the artwork by Michelle Boyd, a photographer I met through Southern Weddings back in the day. She creates the most gorgeous floral paintings–this one, available as a fine art print, might be my favorite.

I recently added this clean cream blush in “Beverly Hills” to my makeup bag and love the subtle, peachy hue for spring/summer.

Chances are good this Julia Berolzheimer x Neely & Chloe mini lady bag will sell out by the time this post goes live, but I couldn’t resist including it! As a former GMG employee, it’s especially exciting to see the new collaborations Julia and her team have been working on, and this one is gorgeous.

This packable sun hat has been on my wish list for a few years and our recent sunny days have it at the forefront of my mind again. Such a classic style!

Someday, there will be an Edit without pajamas in it, but that day is not today ;) The colorful stripes of this Lake Pajamas poplin set in “Macaron” are too sweet.

Just right for in-between weather days, pair this sunny gingham sweatshirt with jeans or shorts, or throw it over your shoulders when you’re wearing a simple sundress.

I have almost zero Easter decor, so I scooped up a bunny ginger jar from the darling spring collection by Lo Home. It comes in a rainbow of pastel colors–I bought it in blush, and pictured is cabbage green.

It would be impossible to have a bad day in these cheerful Liberty floral loafers! I’d wear them with a lightweight cream sweater and boyfriend jeans now and a chambray shirtdress this summer.

As the weather warms up, we love experimenting with cocktail recipes made with herbs and fruit from the farmer’s market. These sweet embroidered cocktail napkins would take our at-home happy hours up a notch!

I’m continually impressed by the selection of melamine plates on The Avenue–so family-friendly! This new floral plate style looks every bit as lovely as real china.

Chime in with your top three pieces from this list below! Mine are the pillow, the ginger jar, and loafers :)

Loafers were my first pick! I scored a pair of j.crew/Liberty flats on poshmark for spring and with snow melting in Michigan, I finally got to wear them this weekend! I concur that it is impossible to have a bad day with Liberty floral feet :) other picks would be the Caitlin pillow and that lovely hat!

  2. Mary says:

The sun hat is on my wishlist. I love a sun hat for the Easter season Masses!

  3. Em says:

Since it’s in my closet, the sunhat is definitely a fave! It’s only a matter of time before one of those gingham sweatshirts makes its way to me. And finally, Michelle’s painting is gorgeous!

  4. Laura says:

The bunny ginger jar is so sweet! Going to grab the vase version for our Easter collection.

  5. Dana says:

    Love the spring green vibe!

I love these edit posts, Lisa! They always get me in the mood for the upcoming month. I’m so interested in trying the merit blush — cream products are my new thing.
