Confession: we picked the date for Charlie’s baptism before he was even born! Saint John Paul II’s feast day very conveniently falls on a Saturday this year, and since Charlie was named in honor of him, it was a shoe-in for the date of our little guy’s first sacrament. We’re excited to have a good amount of family coming into town next weekend for the occasion, so I knew I wanted to plan a little celebration–nothing too fancy, just something fun to commemorate the day and make our out-of-town guests feel special. Since the baptism will be in the late afternoon, we decided to plan a dinner party at our house for afterward, inspired by the fall season, our Southern locale, and of course, plenty of classic baby boy blue :)

Keep an eye on Instagram for photos next weekend–Charlie will be rocking the same baptism gown Dave wore 27 years ago! :)

Hehe! We have baby2’s baptism day already planned too. I waited too long with Jimp and it was stressful getting all the requirements in place it last minute. What a blessed little boy Charlie is. :)
