Painting, packing, and shuffling things between the apartment and our new house have all taken up a good chunk of my blogging time over the last two weeks, but I do have some fun posts in the works–namely, an apartment tour, a recap of my friend Aelish’s wedding, and my second trimester favorites. In the meantime, I thought I’d share a few random things I’m currently loving. I really enjoy reading posts like this on other blogs, so my fingers are crossed that you do too…maybe I’ll make it a regular thing? Let me know what you think :) Here we go!
Company: My friend Rita introduced me to Sonnet James, and ever since, I’ve been loving their company mission and messaging (lots of Roald Dahl quotes!) just as much as I love their adorable, casual dresses. I can picture this and this being fun and practical additions to my future mama wardrobe :)
Purchase: After clicking through more pages of outdoor pillows than I want to admit, I pulled the trigger on this watercolor palm print pillow for our new porch, and I am so happy with it it!
Local spot: The weather was so pretty on Saturday, Dave and I ate every meal outside! For lunch, we headed to Trophy Brewing Company for pizza–it was our first time there and we really enjoyed both the atmosphere and the food. I have a habit of always ordering the same thing at restaurants, but there were tons of specialty pizzas on their menu that I would love to try! The one we had (pictured above) was topped with pepperoni, spinach, red onion, and lamb sausage.
Online shop: I think travel photos are one of the most meaningful things a person can display on their walls, but if you’re looking to supplement your own with a few professional shots, Anna With Love has a gorgeous assortment of photographs from New York City, Paris, London, Greece, and more (P.S. you can get 25% off in her shop right now with the code SUMMER).
Blog: I’ve been devouring the Studio McGee archives while gathering home inspiration. Even though I’ll probably never live in the mountains, I still think this “modern mountain home” they designed is ridiculously cool!
Instagram account: My friend Rachel recently started a new account to chronicle the meals and dishes she makes for her family, and I have taken so many screenshots of recipes I want to try! Follow her at @TheBosKitchen.
What are you loving lately?
love the new pillows!! pizza looks yummy :) I wanna go there!
You would have liked it!! I look forward to hanging out with you on my porch :)
Oh I love these posts! That dress is super cute!
Isn’t it? Definitely topping my current wish list :)
Loved all the things you linked to! :) Especially that last one! ;) You are so sweet.
I have to stop myself from screenshotting everything! Can’t wait to try those scones you posted about over the weekend :)
I’m visiting Raleigh this weekend and now will have to check out Trophy Brewing Company! Yum! :) Do you have any other favorite spots to visit in Raleigh?
So fun! Yes, definitely–for food, all of Ashley Christensen’s restaurants are phenomenal. Poole’s is my favorite (their macaroni and cheese is to die for!), but be sure to get there right when they open for the shortest wait time. I’m also a big fan of LucetteGrace for coffee and croissants. For activities, I really like walking around on Fayetteville Street and near the capitol building, exploring at the NC Art Museum, and shopping at Cameron Village. Have a great time! :)
Studio McGee just KILLS ME. They’re so good. I’ve thought about looking into their prices for some e-design for our next house.. I think they could really help me refine my style!
Ooooh, that would be amazing! Everything they do is so beautiful!
