Contrary to popular, potentially-wedding-blog-induced belief, it doesn’t take a billion little details and years of planning to create a beautiful and unique wedding. The perfect example? This absolutely adorable couple from London, who flew to New York City for a wedding at the iconic NYC City Hall. Armed with a 1950s tea-length dress, a bunch of pastel balloons in lieu of flowers, and just seven guests, Sara and Bradley were married in their favorite city, and celebrated with an ice cream party. Allison Pense Photography captured the joyous, fun-filled day perfectly, and I’m so thrilled to share it with you!

How dreamy is that last series of pictures? I love the bride’s sweet wave as her “bouquet” floated off into the sky! This wedding truly goes to show how little it really takes to make a wedding special–after all, the fact that it’s a wedding makes it special as it is. :) Thank you so much to Allison for letting me share these lovely pictures!

this is a nice reminder that a wedding isn’t about the details and how much money you spend, but being the the love of your life and making it official! i think ice cream and balloons take care of that pretty well :)
