Ever since I started obsessing over winter weddings, I’ve been on inspiration overload–isn’t that the best part of discovering something new that you love? The other week, my sister commented on this gorgeous Real Wedding feature, saying that a winter wedding in a warm place is the best of both worlds, and I couldn’t agree more. With that idea in mind, I created this winter-y inspiration board using one of my favorite wedding flowers–lavender. Lavender and France go hand-in-hand for me, ever since a trip to Provence a few years ago, so I incorporated some pretty French-inspired details as well. Plus, I needed an excuse to use that seriously amazing dress shot with the Eiffel Tower in the background. :)

Of course, I wanted to use lots of lavender (the flower, color, and flavor–check out that lavender hot chocolate!), but I also wanted to keep in mind that this is a winter board, so a wedding would probably take place inside. Cue the ornate ballroom and lots of clean white design elements, accented with just a touch of Paris-inspired black lace. There’s nothing that makes me cringe more than purple event lighting, so this wedding would need as much natural light as possible, evoking a sense of the outdoors that lavender is usually seen in.
I’m pretty happy with how this board turned out! What are your thoughts?
Love,
Lisa
