To be honest, black and white is one of my least favorite wedding color schemes–maybe I’ve just been turned off by boring damask prints or calla lilies (sorry calla lily fans, they’re just my personal least favorite!). It also seems like one of the last color schemes that would be Christmas-y. I challenged myself with this inspiration board in both ways–I wanted to make a black and white board that I actually loved, and I wanted to make it perfect for Christmas. I think that with the right textures and details, it worked! No damask in sight. :)
{A Very Chic Christmas}
{Beautiful couple: Hillary Maybery Photography via Style Me Pretty| Church: Little White Dress Wedding Photography via Style Me Pretty| Black vintage car: Sara Gray via Style Me Pretty| Super stylish bridesmaids: Caught the Light via Once Wed| Ribbon-tied favor boxes: The Popes via Style Me Pretty| Lauduree-esque window decal: Attik72 via Design*Sponge| Black typewriter: Sunny 16 Photography via Style Me Pretty| Ivory dress with black bow: Delbarr Moradi via Style Me Pretty}
My strategy for this board was finding black and white details that were elegant and sleek, but fun, and incorporating hints of Christmas, like a snowy venue and lots of ribbons and bows. It’s subtle, but I definitely think the festive element is there. What do you think?
Love,
Lisa

Such a chic board-and I’m so glad to see not one spec of damask!
i like the bridesmaids jackets!
Ugh – I hate calla lilies too! Glad I’m not alone in that.
Great inspiration board!
Black and white is one of my favorite wedding color combination, especially for winter. Under to my humble opinion is chic, as you are saying, elegant and pretty. Great. Nice inspiration board Lisa.
Many wishes for a very Merry Christmas Holiday!
