I’ve mentioned a few times that I’ve been doing ballet since I was a kid, and that it’s one of my favorite things in the world…to do, or to watch. It should come as no surprise then that weddings with ballet-inspired details always tug at my heartstrings in a major way! I’m surprised it took me this long to come up with a ballet-inspired board, so I put together this one, full of tulle, clean lines, pink accents, and lots of slate gray and white to keep things looking glamorous rather than kitschy.
{Sweetheart table and tulle ceiling hangings: Green Wedding Shoes| Tulle poms and white flowers: Martha Stewart Weddings| Peonies and anemones: La Belle Vie| Flower girl: Style Me Pretty| Rooftop table: Style Me Pretty| Bow-Topped Slingbacks: BHLDN| Engagement ring and macarons: Rinse. Repeat.| Bridal shot in pointe shoes: Lovely Little Details}
I think the key to pulling off a ballet-inspired fête would be avoiding an all-pink color scheme and keeping the details elegant and understated. I would love to see a wedding designed after this board in a warehouse dance studio with dinner on the rooftop…think that even exists? :)
Love,
Lisa
Love this! So soft and feminine!
the flower girl is cute! and i think light pink and white flowers everywhere would make it very romantic and still keep the ballet theme!
My little ballerina heart can’t resist these images either-so gorgeous!
i love it because i love tulle :) the little pink shoes are cute too! very ballerina-bride-esque
so beautiful!
Gorgeous pictures! The warehouse studio/rooftop dinner wedding would be an absolute dream.
One regret I have from my wedding is not doing any pointe shoe pictures in my wedding gown… would have been so much fun!
