Inspiration at Your Fingertips

Weddings

Wedding inspiration can come from all kinds of places. Movies, books, magazines, music, paintings, and yes, even blogs (especially blogs, actually!), can make the amount of “input” a bride gets regarding her wedding day just a tad overwhelming. That’s why it’s important to identify a concept towards the beginning, and then run with that throughout the planning process. Concepts can take place in the form of a color scheme, a theme, and most commonly, a style. Since you want your style to reflect who you and your fiancee are, why not start with the symbol of your engagement–the ring–and work from there? With these seven very different engagement rings, here is a little bit of style inspiration. :)

{Classic: It doesn’t get more classic than a Tiffany’s solitaire ring. Carry this style throughout with Essie Allure, which is the same nail polish Kate Middleton used on her wedding day, and an all-white bouquet}

{Sophisticated: With a stunning sparkler like this A. Jaffe ring, a classy, black-tie affair would be perfect. Pair chic black bridesmaid dresses with classic red nail polish, like Essie Lollipop, and bouquets of red roses}

{Romantic: The slight pink tint in this Greenwich Jeweler ring and the soft gray of Essie Loophole would look beautiful against a bouquet in a soft color palette. I especially love anemones and dusty miller for a romantic style wedding}

{Bold: Show-stopping sapphire side stones, like in this Ritani ring, get flaunted fabulously against bright blues, reds, yellows, and oranges. Essie Geranium and a bright bouquet bring all these colors together perfectly}

{Girly: Is there anything girlier than a heart-shaped diamond? Embrace the style of this Tiffany’s ring with candy pink nails in Essie No Pre-Nup (kind of a funny name there…) and a big bunch of pretty pink blooms}

{Rustic: The Celtic love knots on either side of this eco-friendly Brilliant Earth ring look almost like leaves around a flower, so an outdoor rustic chic wedding would be perfect. Compliment, but don’t compete with, the ring and flowers with soft peach nails in Essie Van D’Go and a bouquet of wildflowers}

{Vintage: A fabulous vintage engagement ring, like this one from Weston, is made to stand out. French blue nail polish, like Essie Sweet Talker, will make your hands stand out more than a boring French manicure, and they’ll look stunning while you’re holding your mismatched bouquet with a pop of blue}

Where do you find your inspiration–for your wedding, or even your everyday fashion and design style? Got a favorite from this list? Can’t wait to hear!

Love,

Lisa

    i like the first ring the best, but my bouquet would be full of orchids!

  2. I love love love your wedding posts. Are you going to be a wedding planner after school?

    • You are so sweet! I’m not looking to be a planner exactly–I want to be a writer for a weddings magazine or major blog (like Style Me Pretty…dream job!), so my blog is like a portfolio for me :) Though I am excited to plan my wedding in the future and help my sisters and friends out with theirs!

  5. angie says:

    The first one :) My ring is definitely more ‘classy’ and it is also a family heirloom so there are elements of both aspects incorporated in my wedding. Classy dress styles, pillar candles on mirror tiles, and a winery location complemented by authentic Italian food (both of us have Italian in our blood). In the process of choosing flowers now…

  6. Essie is soooo brilliant not only with their amazing colors but with the names for them too!
