The February Edit

Style

I haven’t been very inspired when it comes to writing Valentine’s Day posts. At this point, I think we’ve all seen enough at-home date ideas to last for years. Dave and I don’t exchange Valentine’s Day gifts, so a gift guide doesn’t feel quite right. A little piece of me is just eagerly anticipating writing a post about over-the-top, out-of-the-house date ideas next year, ha! So, although we are keeping it admittedly simple around here, I can’t deny that I always look forward to Valentine’s Day. The explosion of flowers, sweet treats, love letters, and all things pink offer such a bright spot in the midst of winter, and we’ve been having a particularly gray and dreary one in Raleigh. When it comes to little gestures and decisions I can make on a daily basis through early February to make life feel more festive and fun–picking up a bouquet of flowers from the grocery store, putting on sparkly earrings even if I’m not going anywhere, writing notes to people I love–I’m all for it. That posture, mixed with a fresh dose of blush and lavender, inspired the February Edit!

Something Pretty February Edit

This $20 lavender top is on its way to me–I couldn’t resist the pretty pastel hue and balloon sleeves. It’ll transition perfectly into spring. (P.S. Women’s apparel is currently 10% off with Target Circle.)

I’ve been falling down the rabbit hole of vintage china on Etsy and love the sweetness of this mix-and-match trio. If you’re missing your traditional Galentine’s tea this year, treat yourself to a pretty set like this for sipping with friends virtually. (P.S. I saw a little too late that this exact set costs an arm and a leg to ship, so here’s another source that looks great right here in Raleigh!)

When it comes to garden roses, the ones from Grace Rose Farm are second to none! She offers a CSA-style bouquet subscription (currently 20% off!) that would make the most incredible Valentine’s Day gift.

For a fresh, modern twist on traditional ginger jars, Lo Home has the prettiest pastel assortment. These matte pink jars are my favorites!

I remember being a little sad I didn’t receive a KitchenAid mixer from my wedding registry, but now, I’m so glad I didn’t…partially because it meant I could change my color choice to this gorgeous rose! I received mine for my 30th birthday last year and smile every time I see it sittin’ pretty in the corner of my kitchen.

I reach for this Fresh Sugar Lip Balm in Rose almost every single day. It’s hydrating and lightweight, and offers the prettiest hint of color.

I didn’t even own a bathrobe until two Christmases ago, but now, I don’t know why it took me so long to get one! I love all things Weezie (who knew a towel brand could be so delightful to follow on Instagram?) and think their short robe in pink stripe looks absolutely perfect.

I’m on the hunt for botanical prints for my office/guest room and spotted this striking wildflower print while scrolling one day. I’m picturing it in a sunny breakfast nook, but have no doubt it would look beautiful on any wall.

I’ve been layering blouses with ruffled collars under cardigans and sweaters lately and love the feminine, Victorian-nodding look. This blouse is simple and classic, a true wardrobe staple.

Subtle, but oh-so-fun, these XO studs would be a sparkly addition to any Valentine’s Day outfit, dressy or casual. At under $40, they’d make a great gift as well.

With a summer wedding on our calendar, I’m eyeing the Uptown Sandal from one of my favorite shoe brands, which is currently part of their sample sale. After not wearing heels for over a year, comfort is going to be a necessity, and I feel confident knowing that Margaux makes that a top priority!

I know pink flatware would be totally impractical for most of us, but isn’t this set delightful? A girl can dream!

I’ve tried a bunch of different Lake Pajamas styles over the years, and the next one on my list is the Weekend Shorts Set, maybe in this lilac stripe. I suspect the crewneck top would make it my new favorite.

I loved picking three favorites from the Edit with y’all last month, so let’s make it a regular thing! Which three items caught your eye most? My picks are the lavender top, rose subscription, and Weezie robe!

  1. Kristina says:

The pink silverware in the post made me smile big time, Lisa! It almost exactly looks like the kids silverware that I had as a toddler-preschool kid. And now my nieces are using it and love them too :)

  2. Dana says:

The rose subscription is fun! I also love your pink KitchenAid! The pink pastel jars are pretty as well.

  3. Em says:

Pink flatware, roses, and pretty pink jars! Love! Also, that top is VERY Lisa.

  4. Rhiannon says:

I think I’ll take one of everything from this list, friend! Such a fun round up. I also, share so many of the same sentiments as you, about February 14th!

  5. Megan says:

Love that botanical print, the fresh sugar lip balm (one of my favorites too!), and that bouquet subscription is giving me all the heart eyes :)

  6. Emily says:

Every few weeks I keep indulging the idea of the rose subscription… I have a baby coming in June, and not only are roses the flower for the month of June, but I also think it would be so lovely to fill the house with roses all spring and summer. Maybe I’ll bite one of these days…

  7. […] Reporting back on the $20 lavender top from the February Edit: SO cute! It’s a bit bolder of a purple than I was expecting, but still so pretty as we head […]
