Thank you so much for your thoughtful comments on Tuesday’s post! I loved reading about the ways different people approach clothes, shopping, and keeping a positive perspective on all of it. If you missed the post, go ahead and give it a read before continuing with this one!
When I started overhauling my warm weather wardrobe, two pieces I knew I wanted to add were a casual romper and neutral wedges or block heels. I bought a patterened romper two years ago that I reach for again and again (seen here)–turns out, it’s a pretty perfect piece to wear when I want to feel dressed up, but still be able to play with Charlie comfortably. I love the one I have, but since it has long sleeves, it’s a little warm for our NC summers, and I liked the idea of investing in a more neutral, versatile option. I recently joined Amazon’s influencer program so I could create an easy-to-reference page of my Amazon favorites (here!), and when they sent me a gift card to use to highlight their fashion department, I figured it would be the perfect time to Prime these pieces to my house :)
Chambray romper (c/o), espadrille block heels (c/o, come in three colors), sunglasses
I was so excited to find an ethically made chambray romper (by Splendid)–chambray is about as versatile as it gets, and this one is so soft and comfortable. I was a little wary of the cutout in the back, but it wasn’t nearly as fussy as I thought it might be…plus, it felt really comfortable on a triple-digit-temperature day. As for these shoes, I think Dave is probably the happiest about the fact that I bought them because now I can stop telling him about my search for a neutral pair of in-between-dressy-and-casual shoes! It has been a three-year-long process since the wedges I wore and loved before that bit the dust…clearly, although I am working on making wiser purchases, impulse purchasing is not one of my struggles ;) These block heels are super comfortable and I love the espadrille detail. Funny enough, I noticed that some of my favorite pairs of shoes have been deals I scored on Amazon over the last few years, including the gold Badgley Misckha heels I found at a crazy good price (seen here) and the ankle-strap heels (here) I once wore all around New York City!
What are some of your summer wardrobe staples? A few more of mine are a striped short-sleeve tee (mine is ethically made and 20% off right now), this pink ruffle-sleeve shirt (very similar in black or white here), denim shorts, and my mimosa-themed Soludos :)
Amazon provided me with a gift card to add these summer staples to my closet and to share with you, but I was not otherwise compensated for this post. As always, all opinions are my own. Thanks for your support! :)
How do you get your top knot so perfect?
Very cute outfit! Love it! Honestly, I have never paid much attention to clothes on Amazon even though it feels like I prime everything else to my apartment all the time. I was especially surprised that you even found a brand on there that sells ethically made clothes – I will have to check out their fashion department for sure!
Right? I must use Prime weekly, but hardly ever ventured to their Fashion section before they reached out to me about it! It’s a little bit of a black hole, haha, but I think I’m going to write a post with some tips about navigating it, so stay tuned! :)
I love this romper, and I love that it’s nursing friendly!
I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect neutral flat sandal. I want a pair that I can wear with shorts, jeans, or a dress, and that are comfy enough to wear all day.
Oh yes, it would be great for nursing! :) I just ordered a pair of white sandals that come in some other pretty neutrals (cognac, rose gold, etc.)…I’ll be sure to share the link if I like them!
I love my open back romper!
Thanks for the encouragement! :D
You look delightfully adorable! So chic and approachable!
Thanks, friend! Rompers are so much fun to wear! :)
