The Ethical Brand I Want to Fill My Closet With

Style

I started poking around some ethical clothing brands a few months ago. While I’ve certainly always liked the idea of buying ethically made (I mean, what’s not to like?), I had the hardest time finding a brand that fit my needs: classic and feminine options that fit my personal style, comfortable and wearable pieces for my admittedly casual everyday life, and items that were affordable enough so that I wouldn’t be devastated if a certain toddler somehow ruined something ;) Then, a few weeks ago, I noticed a shirt from Amour Vert that my friend Emily linked to, and before I knew it, I had about 20 tabs open with all the items I wanted to consider adding to my closet! Their pieces are manufactured in America using non-toxic dyes and sustainable fabrics and they’re committed to maintaining as small of an environmental footprint as possible. I wasn’t surprised to learn that the founder is Parisian (yes please, an entire category dedicated to stripes)–the designs strike that perfectly chic, effortless feel that French women are beloved for! In case you’ve been looking for classic, wearable, ethically made clothes too, here are a few of my current favorites.

Note: this post isn’t sponsored in any way (it doesn’t even include affiliate links)–I just genuinely love/want everything from this brand :)

A disclaimer: yes, the items are certainly pricier than my J. Crew sale section go-tos, but especially for pieces as timeless as these, I think saving up for something that’s well made and that I can feel good about wearing will be worth it.

Which of these items is your favorite? Do you have a go-to ethical brand I should know about? Let me know!

  1. Golly, these are beautiful. I, unfortunately, cannot swallow the price though. Hopefully, I can find some at my local thrift stores. :)
