It seems like we switch off wedding-heavy years–last year, we didn’t have any to attend, and this year, we have four this spring alone! We’re going to two (and are stalking international flights in hopes of making it to a third), one of which is Dave’s cousin’s wedding in West Palm Beach, Florida. Other than a 48-hour whirlwind trip to St. Augustine for a photo shoot and the highway en route from Texas to Georgia, I haven’t spent much time in Florida, and can hardly wait to explore this seaside town that I’ve heard so much about. The wedding isn’t until May, but I haven’t been able to resist poking around the internet for dress ideas–the celebration is at The Breakers, so I’d love to wear something that fits with the venue’s Old Florida vibe!
P.S. If you’re still looking for an Easter dress, a handful of these would make lovely options–just don’t forget to opt for quick shipping!
1. People Tree (ethically made), 2. Nordstrom, 3. Lilly Pulitzer, 4. Nordstrom, 5. Nordstrom, 6. Nordstrom (comes in eight colors, including white for brides and a gorgeous rust color!), 7. Loft (currently 30% off, no code needed), 8. Nordstrom, 9. ASOS
Which is your favorite? I’m a little obsessed with the print and the romantic cut of #5, but the lace midi (#6) is beautiful and would work for the international wedding as well if we’re able to make that! Also accepting Palm Beach recommendations, if you have any :)
How exciting! Check out Scott’s cheap flights if you haven’t already! It’s how we booked our flight for Italy in the fall. :)
I know we already texted about this, haha, but how great is Scott’s Cheap Flights? Everyone who loves travel needs to sign up! (Or, no one, so flights don’t disappear as quickly! ;))
I’m emotionally invested in the fact that you MUST wear Lilly in Palm Beach. MUST!!!!!! Haha! :) I’m so jealous that you’re attending a wedding at The Breakers!
Haha! Rest assured, I will pack all the Lilly in my closet even if I don’t end up wearing it to the wedding itself! ;) I am so excited to see it in person! Plus, the bride has fabulous taste, so I can’t wait to see the details she has planned!
We really loved popping by the Four Arts botanical garden (it’s free and there’s some good run-around space for Charlie!), there’s some cute cafes and shops on Northwood, and if you’ve got some adventure in you, Grassy waters nature preserve has a raised boardwalk path that’s really beautiful (with a chance of alligator sightings near the parking lot!). We also enjoyed the Flagler museum tour; and they have an add-on to tour the Breakers and learn more about PB’s history! You guys will have a blast!
Making note of all of these–thank you SO much, Marisa!!
I can totally see you in the yellow scallop one! :) I like them all though!
I thought it had a bit of a Jackie Kennedy vibe! I flipped through some of her Palm Beach photos for inspiration :)
Saving number 6 for my bridal shower!
Too bad I can’t wear white to a wedding, or we could split it and have a sisterhood of the traveling midi dress :P
