Our Christmas Decorations

Celebrations

Being in our own house for the first time has made decorating for the holidays SO much fun. The possibilities seem endless, especially since our walls and furniture are so neutral! I’m drawn to a pretty specific look when it comes to festive decor, and I think my Christmas Pinterest board hits the nail on the head, because one scroll through it and I knew exactly how I wanted to decorate our new house for the holidays this year. As always, I’m a big fan of lots of white, and for Christmas, we added classic pops of red, natural elements like evergreen and cotton, and a touch of silver. Dave and I had so much fun shopping for a few new pieces of Christmas decor and bringing it all together in the house! Here’s a look at what we did:

My favorite part might have to be the mantel–the canvas is from our engagement session by Ryan Ray (it usually hangs in our guest room), and the silver candlesticks and gray and white taper candles are from our wedding. The stockings are new, and I think Charlie’s train stocking might be the cutest thing in the whole house :) A close second favorite is our cheery breakfast nook because I’ve loved the look of multiple wreaths hanging in windows FOREVER (as evidenced all throughout my aforementioned Christmas board), so it’s extra special to have it in my own house!

  4. love your marble fireplace – that is the one thing that my husband and I keep saying we wish we have (we still live in a little Chicago apartment :)

Also love your bar cart arrangement, your tree skirt, and how you displayed the ornaments in the glass bowl!
