While it always feels good to cross off every one of my monthly goals, I’ve never felt quite so accomplished as I did in September! It’s hard to believe that two short weeks ago, we were anxiously waiting for Charlie to be born, and now, he’s here and we’re PARENTS. Dave and I decided to spend the first week of Charlie’s life on our own to figure things out together, and even though it was just a few days, it was such a special time and something I know I’ll cherish forever. On Charlie’s one-week birthday, my parents joined us to meet their first grandbaby (!) and lend a hand, and having the help has been a huge blessing. I’m so curious to see how October goes as Dave heads back to work (he’ll take the rest of his paternity leave in December) and we have a few more guests coming in and out!
September Goals:
Stock up on household and postpartum suppliesPack our hospital bagsEnjoy a relaxing, long Labor Day weekendHave a baby!!
October Goals:
- Navigate the transition of Dave going back to work with a positive attitude
- Have Charlie baptized! (And host our families well for the celebration)
- Aim to take a walk around the neighborhood every day
- Back up the photos on my computer
- Celebrate Halloween with chili, cornbread, passing out candy, and Charlie’s first costume!
Prayers for you as Dave heads back to work! Please let me know if there’s anything I can do from TX!! <3
Thank you!! Will do :)
Yay Lisa and Dave! Bringing a precious life into the world is an incredible miracle and y’all have the sweetest little family! I enjoyed following along with your newborn shoot on Instagram yesterday. :)
Oh, we had so much fun! Excited to share the photos! :)
My mom always made chili and cornbread on Halloween, too! ;) Love seeing you and your adorable boy! Happy October :)
Happy October, MRS. BEEL!! :) Hope married life is wonderful!
Chili and cornbread is my favorite fall dish and I’m so excited to have it more frequently again for dinner now that the weather has finally cooled down.
Praying for the transition of Dave going back to work and of course for the baptism of Charlie – what an exciting goal to have on the list! Happy October :)
Thanks so much, Kristina–grateful for your prayers! :)
Wait…I never even thought about Charlie in a Halloween costume! I’ve been so preoccupied with his 12 Days of Charlie Christmas outfits. OMG!!!!
Also, his blogger pose is perfect.
He will be festively dressed for every holiday!!
