The Lilly Pulitzer After-Party Sale!

Style

I feel similarly about the semi-annual Lilly Pulitzer After-Party Sale as I do about The Bachelor/Bachelorette…I get really excited about it, feel slightly guilty about getting excited about it, and then decide to embrace and enjoy it because 1. Some things in life can be fun just for the sake of fun :) and 2. I love talking to other people about it! Sure enough, at 7:58 this morning, my Lilly-loving friends and I were texting and Snapchatting, and it was a really enjoyable way to kick off the week. What made it even better was that this was easily my favorite sale yet and I got exactly what I was hoping for, and at only $3 over my budget–not too shabby, if you ask me! While a good handful of items are already sold out, I snuck back through the virtual waiting line after placing my order so that I could check out the full sale collection and round up a few favorites, if you’re interested!

lilly-shift-dressThis dress (worn here at 18 weeks, and I could still wear it at 30) is below in the same pattern!

A few notes/tips!

– I usually size up in Lilly because I tend to prefer a looser fit and it’s easier to take something in than out. Better to be safe than sorry in this case, since all items are final sale! The exception to this is their shift dresses, which I think run a little big, so I go with my usual size (for example, the dress above is a small).
– When you go to the site, you’ll be put in a virtual line. Don’t refresh your page or you’ll be bumped to the back!
– As evidenced above, some Lilly items are GREAT for pregnancy! Along with shift dresses which work for a good while, they have so many adorable flowy tank tops and dresses. Just look for anything without a defined waistline and consider a size up from your usual size.
– The two items I purchased are still available in most sizes at the time I’m posting this–I got the citrus print swing dress and pastel popover. I’m hoping I can wear the dress right away, while I think the popover will be perfect for feeling comfy, but still presentable, when I’m home with baby boy this fall :)

Did you pick up anything in the sale? Let me know which items you’re most excited about!

Thanks for sharing! I’ve always been waiting for a ‘good’ time to jump into Lilly — and today was the day! I scooped up the “Clara” swing dress you featured, another dress, and scalloped pattern 4″ shorts ($29 is such a deal!).

Sale day is definitely the day to jump in–glad you found some fun pieces! :) P.S. Your wedding is so soon!! How are you feeling? Thinking of you! :)

I have never worn anything from LP before and wasn’t really planning on buying anything, but I happened to check it out sometime in the afternoon for fun yesterday. I ended up getting a Palmetto dress in what may be a little bit bigger size (I’m hoping it will work for a while during the preg and the buttons will work for nursing/PP!). I was tempted by the sweatshirts too. Maybe next time around! Online shopping is dangerous! haha

Oooh, cute! I was pretty surprised that I could still wear my Lilly shift dress at 30 weeks (I got it when I was just starting to show), so I hope your dress is the same way!

I have the shift dress in that citrus print and am obsessed with it! I got my first cashmere sweater in the sale and am feeling extra fancy! :) It’s crazy how Lilly is so pregnancy friendly! Who would’ve thought?

That is fancy! I have never ventured into their cold weather-appropriate clothes before so I am pretty excited for my new popover :) Let me know how you like your sweater!

Too busy and missed the sale :( I love that navy and gold dress though (obvi).
