The hostess-with-the-mostest of my North Carolina baby shower, Emily, shared inspiration boards for her three shower theme ideas on her blog last week, and I was amused to see that no one who commented guessed which one I picked! While I would’ve been thrilled with any of the themes Emily came up with (stripes and chambray and summer fruit were the two others!), the inspiration that ultimately had my heart was for a summery, all-white brunch celebration with a little bit of French flair. Even though I’m having a boy, I figured this particular party was more for me than him, so it was okay to bring on all things girly :) With the help of my mom and sisters who flew in for the weekend, Emily planned such a beautiful and thoughtful party for me at her adorable home. I felt so blessed to celebrate with some of my favorite women–ranging from people who have known me my whole life to new friends who have shown me and baby boy so much love and support in even just a few months. I’m so thankful to have these photos from this very special morning!
P.S. Emily shared a recap of the shower today too, so head to Em for Marvelous and take a look! :)
What a perfect shower! I know you will treasure it all forever.
It was such a joy–I’m so grateful! :)
My friends are throwing me a shower this weekend and it’s Little Prince themed which is perfect for my France-loving heart! I loved the little pancakes for yours, such an adorable detail!
Oh my gosh, what a precious theme!! I will be Instagram-stalking in hopes of photos :) Have fun!
looks so fun and perfectly you!
Wish you could have been there! :)
Well, stink! My gut guess was the white, because that’s what I would have chosen, but your love of stripes threw me off!! Yay for celebrations for your sweet boy!!
I think I may save Emily’s stripes and chambray inspiration for a future baby boy birthday party–it’s too cute to go to waste! :)
My card made an appearance! As did I :)
Well, of course! :)
What a cute shower! Congratulations on your growing little one!
Thank you so much, Lauren! :)
