I felt a little guilty about committing to posting outfit photos at the beginning of the year…and then pretty much abandoning that goal after finding out I was pregnant and needing to nap ASAP after work instead of going outside to take photos! That said, dressing a growing bump has been an interesting challenge–almost like an unpredictable capsule wardrobe. It has felt all the more satisfying to find an outfit that works and that I feel good in (especially if it includes non-maternity items), so in these last few months of pregnancy, I want to share a few of those outfits. Whether you’re pregnant or not, I hope you enjoy them!
Dave got me this J. Crew Factory chambray shirtdress for my birthday (April 15, just as I was starting my second trimester), and it has played a HUGE role in my pregnancy wardrobe thus far. It’s not maternity, but there is plenty of room for a bump in it, and I feel just as comfortable in it now as I did a few months ago. I usually wear it loose, but tried it with a belt at my first baby shower last weekend (recap coming next week!), and really liked how it made this casual style feel a little dressier. Bonus, it was kind of fun to highlight how much our little guy is growing to all his adoring family members :)
