A boy!!!!!!
And most importantly, he is healthy and wonderful and already growing big and strong :) I had myself convinced that we were having a girl, even though I had had three dreams it was a boy–including one the night before the sonogram. So apparently, that’s the most reliable way to predict a baby’s gender, haha! I was worried I might be a little sad if we weren’t having a girl first, but when I think about the fact that our baby will be even a little bit like Dave, I get all weepy. I love thinking about seeing Dave with him, the fact that our future kids will have a sweet big brother to love and protect them, and that we’ll get to teach a precious little boy how much Jesus loves him.
It has been incredible how now that we’ve seen his sweet little face and watched him flip around (literally–this little guy is active!), the name we had picked out for a baby boy fits him perfectly. We’ve told our families and some close friends, but are keeping it a secret from the internet till he makes his appearance in September!
In the meantime, I’d LOVE to hear favorite tips, stores, etc. from any boy mamas out there!! I can’t wait to join y’all :)
Congratulations on baby boy Kirk! I have a big brother and I can honestly say it’s the best gift my parents have given me and I pray that one day God willing my first child will be a boy too. Big brothers are the best ;-)
Ah! Little boys are just so fun. Can’t wait for future play dates!
yay!!!!!! He’s going to have so many bow ties!!!!
Yay!! Congratulations!! I have heard that there is a lot less drama with boys ; ) So amazing to know what all those strange butterfly and wiggly feelings are!!
