As some of you know, I grew up abroad–my family spent four years in Singapore and seven in Qatar. I always hesitate a little when people ask me what my favorite place I’ve lived has been, because I was in elementary school when we were in Singapore, and definitely couldn’t fully appreciate the culture and experience at that age. My parents have actually been back in Singapore part-time for the past few years, and the one downside to being the oldest child (AKA, the only one who doesn’t have spring and summer breaks anymore!) is that I haven’t made it out to visit them yet. Well, that’s all changing soon, because in less than two weeks, Dave and I are heading across the globe to spend a week with my parents there!! I can hardly wait to lounge by the pool, dig into some adventurous cuisine (Singapore’s street food is infamous!), and show Dave some of the places I remember from childhood that I never thought I would have the chance to show him. I thought I’d share some packing inspiration today because it has been a bit of a challenge coming up with what to bring–Singapore is hot and ridiculously humid, and I know we’ll be doing tons of walking to explore as much as we can. Here’s what I came up with!

Wish they would just show up in my closet ;) | I’m packing every breezy tank top I own to wear in the hot, humid weather. | I love long necklaces, and am definitely packing a chunky tassel option to add a fun touch to basic tanks and shorts. | I just picked up these gold mini wedges for my friend’s wedding and have been wearing them nonstop. They’ll be perfect for dinners out! | Sunglasses = no explanation needed when you’re literally on the equator. I love the shape and color of these!| Bless you, J. Crew Factory, for coming out with so many cute elastic-waist shorts this summer! I have a pair in navy and think this striped option may be next.
