Sweet Details for Valentine’s Day

Celebrations

When I started reading blogs in 2010, one of my favorite things about them was how much they inspired me to go the extra mile to make little things special. That could mean painting my nails in a fun color that made me happy, adding a ribbon and a cute tag to a wrapped gift, or putting homemade cupcakes on a cake stand instead of in a Tupperware container–all really small, doable things. While a lot of the emphasis in the blog world has moved to perfect styling and creating things that are totally unique, and that can be fun, I honestly prefer the former, and cultivating the habit of paying attention to those little things is a big reason I still blog today. You don’t need to have a fabulously styled girls night or a perfectly set table for a dinner date to have a wonderful Valentine’s Day–instead, here are just a few little details I love that might make the day extra special.

those cards were so cute! I wish they had a box set. The heart tape is quite adorable as well!

I misread “cheesy” as “cheese” the first time and my heart leapt! What better way to celebrate than with cheese? Unusual maybe. Then I read it again and accept it makes more sense the way you wrote it. I think I can use the heart tape around the wheel of cheddar for your mother.
