First of all, I am SO thankful for all of your sweet comments about the new design, especially the expanded Style section. It has been on my heart for a long time, and knowing that y’all are as excited about it as I am fills my heart to the brim! Let’s not waste any time, shall we? :)
As I mentioned in my Winter Travels post, one of the must-visit spots on my list during our 24 hours in NYC was Maman NYC. I first spotted their adorable patterned cups on Instagram, and when I realized that their new Tribeca location was halfway between the hotel we were staying at and Bryant Park’s Christmas market (Dave’s must-visit spot!), I knew we’d be making a stop there. Besides, after getting on the road at 5 A.M., coffee was very, very welcome!
I was geeking out a little over the decor–that brick wall! Those light fixtures! The wooden tables! It was all so well done. While I didn’t get a good picture of them, there were also cozy lounge spaces set up all over the restaurant. They were all taken when we arrived, but Dave and I happily grabbed a spot at the counter by the window and did some people watching while enjoying our coffees.
The new blush tote I brought with me was a Christmas gift (to myself :)) that I snagged during a recent Kate Spade sample sale. It actually arrived the day before we left for break, and I’m so glad it did, because I carried it every day! Blush pink is my favorite color, but since I don’t wear it too much, I love having the color as part of my outfits via such a fun accessory. Mine isn’t available anymore, but this is very similar, and this blush purse is so cute too. I wanted the rest of my outfit to look polished, but warm enough for a winter day in New York, so I wore my gray sequin-trim sweatshirt (it’s sold out right now, but I’ll post an update if it comes back in stock!), my go-to black pants, and my cocoon coat that I live in every winter.

Seriously y’all, those cups were too cute–I want an actual coffee mug that looks just like them! Also worth noting, silver nail polish just might be one of my new favorite things. My mom gave me Essie’s new silver shade, Aprés Chic, as an early stocking stuffer, and I wore it literally all of December. I loved that it was festive without being too predictable, and it didn’t clash with the red lipstick I wore on Christmas Day. Win :)
Since this post was all photographed at/right outside of a coffee shop, I want to hear, what’s your go-to coffee order? Dave drinks his coffee black, and depending on the weather, I switch off between iced coffee (with a splash of cream and some cinnamon) and skim milk lattes, which is what I was drinking at Maman!
Love the blush pink bag. Such a classic style, as are all of Kate’s bags. I’m also a huge fan of silver polish, such a fun touch!
Thanks Lindsay! I knew I had to have it as soon as I saw it–I’ve been carrying it nonstop! :)
Coffee and milk was typically what I drink but my favorite “fancy” drink is a latte with 1-2 pumps of cinnamon dolce syrup and 1-2 pumps of peppermint! I swear it tastes like Christmas!
Oooh, yum! I love peppermint mochas in the winter, and that sounds like a great way to get the taste year round!
Such a cozy little spot! I drink my coffee with a splash, or two splashes ;) of cream! If I’m at a coffee shop though I’ll get something fancier, like a salted mocha with whip cream for fun!
Coffee with a splash of cream is my go-to at home too! Lately, I’m loving CoffeeMate’s Natural Bliss creamers, especially Sweet Cream–definitely worth a try if you haven’t already! :)
That coffee shop is adorable! Kitchen/dining room goals. New Kate looks perfect in her NYC debut!
It was the perfect place for her debut! :)
Favorite coffee order is a Dirty Chai, a drink that I read about years ago on a favorite blog but hadn’t tried myself until recently. However that’s my fancy coffee order, my regular is a soy cappuccino :)
I absolutely love your nail polish and tried to buy it after seeing it in one of your December posts. Unfortunately it was sold out everywhere I looked so I went with the red “Shall we chalet” from the Winter edition and added some glitter on top. It was perfect with my Christmas and NYE outfit ;-)
That bag is so adorable! My go to splurge drink is an iced coffee with a pump of hazelnut and caramel. Otherwise, I’m just drinking homemade coffee or a soy vanilla latte!
