December didn’t kick off exactly as I had hoped–on my second day back at work after Thanksgiving, a bad illness sent me home, and I spent the next three days in bed with a fever. No fun! I’m happy to report that I’m feeling much better, and am now trying to get caught up on the festivities that I love about this time of year. I’m putting the finishing touches on my fall capsule wardrobe recap and hope to share it with y’all on Thursday, but in the meantime, I thought I’d round up a few outfit ideas for one of the (literally) sweetest holiday traditions: a cookie exchange! I love the way cookie exchanges are often on the casual side, but they’re still super festive. My outfit recipe (pun intended :)) for a cookie exchange? Cozy layers, sparkly accessories, and, of course, a bright red lip–my go-to shade is this one.
Red pants and sparkly flats by Style Within Reach
A knit sweater, full skirt, and blanket scarf by McKenna Bleu
A neutral sweater with a statement necklace by Sequins and Stripes
A bright sweater, leather leggings, and a statement clutch by Pink Peonies
A neutral sweater with red lips and nails by Gal Meets Glam
What are your favorite holiday party themes? I’m also a big fan of Christmas cocktail parties and anything with a hot chocolate bar :)
I’m hosting my first cookie exchange next week! So excited! I’ll be rocking my new Christmas sweater, purchased of course from Cracker Barrel. hehe
So sorry to hear you were sick, Lisa! But I’m sure you’ll enjoy the remaining weeks of holiday fun even more now. I love cookie exchanges as well, who would not? But actually my favorite Christmas party tradition is a girls dinner that I do with my best friends from college each year. We cook together and do a white elephant gift exchange. I’m really sad to miss it this year due to studying in England.
A cookie exchange sounds fun! Cute outfit roundup!
