Brantingham 2015

Lifestyle

Hi friends! Dave and I are back home from a blissful long weekend in the Adirondacks–we keep saying that we completely forgot about our real lives while we were there, and if that’s not a sign of a good vacation, I don’t know what is! Dave’s parents rented a big lake house just a few blocks away from the house where Dave’s grandparents used to live, and we gathered there along with Dave’s two older brothers and their families (yay for cute nieces!). We missed his sister and brother-in-law, but it was still so much fun to be with everyone else for one of the first times since the wedding. A few highlights from our trip: lots of boat rides, games on the dock, water skiing (Dave and his brothers are amazing, and I am a beginner who has had pretty good luck thus far ;)), big family dinners, the best jelly doughnuts in the world, a run in the woods, and tubing with my niece. I have to admit, I completely forgot to take my camera out the entire weekend, but luckily for me, my father-in-law loves taking pictures, so I borrowed most of these from his camera :) We’re already counting down till next year’s trip here!

  3. […] 1. Finish writing wedding thank you notes. Finally!! 2. Train for and run the Run for Life 5K (and hopefully beat my time from last year). YES! I beat my time last year by four minutes and felt great. 3. Host our first guests in our apartment. – Our friends weren’t able to make it, so I’m bumping this goal to September for when Dave’s parents stay with us for a night. 4. Unplug for vacation with Dave’s family in the Adirondacks. Yes, and it was heavenly. Read about it here. […]
