I’m starting this week feeling a bit under the weather, so I’ll cut right to the chase today! A few things inspiring me for the month ahead…

Wedding inspiration: Layers of pattern and texture are one of my current favorite things, and this tablescape from The Cream Event NYC is such a gorgeous example of that! Gingham, polka dots, and chevron look chic rather than crowded, thanks to a cohesive and simple color scheme.
Interior inspiration: After pinning countless all-white beds over the last year, I finally got some white sheets for myself! I love feeling like I’m sleeping in a hotel bed every night, and I’m excited to change out the accents (for me, a pink and white chevron pillow and a soft, French blue throw blanket) with the seasons.
Fashion inspiration: One of my tricks for fall fashion in a hot climate is wearing fall colors in light fabrics. I live in my J. Crew Jackie cardigan during the transition months since they’re not too heavy, and a mustard yellow one, inspired by this picture, is at the top of my wish list.
Foodie inspiration: Oatmeal cream pies are definitely a comfort food for me, especially at the beginning of the school year. Now that I’m far past the lunchbox days though, I’d love to try upgrading with this homemade version.
What’s inspiring you for September? Can’t believe how fast 2012 is going by! It’ll be Christmas before we know it :)

You know I’m already thinking about Christmas! I’m looking forward to new fall clothes and a white duvet–John and I are finally replacing our navy on white set!
