When my family lived abroad, we went to Virginia every summer to stay with our closest family friends. One of my favorite Virginia summer traditions was when my best friend (see her wedding here!), her sister, my sisters, our moms, and I would dress up, go out to dinner, and take in a show at the Virginia Shakespeare Festival. While some shows were certainly more entertaining than others, the tradition is sorely missed by everyone in both families now that my family is in Texas. My all-time favorite is Romeo and Juliet (the most cliche, I know, but I could see it over and over! And no, I’ve never seen the movies), but for a wedding, I love the idea of a bride and groom being inspired by A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Here’s what their ethereal, earthy, woodland wedding might look like.

Just for fun, what’s your favorite Shakespeare play? :)
