One thing I love about blogging is getting to see people whose blogs I read daily take exciting life steps–especially getting married! Cupcakes and Cashmere was one of the first blogs I ever read, and along with Emily’s bajillion other readers, I am so thrilled for her and her upcoming wedding this Saturday! She’s shared bits and pieces of the inspiration for her turn-of-the-century, Great Gatsby-inspired wedding, and with dream vendors like the Bash, Please girls and Max Wanger there to bring it all together, I’m sure it’s going to be incredible. The Great Gatsby is one of my absolute favorite books, so I can hardly wait to see how it interprets for a gorgeous wedding. In the meantime, I’m admiring this Great Gatsby-inspired shoot and the updated vintage gown from the 70s that was used for it!
Isn’t it dreamy? The allover pleats and sheer back are so striking, and I think Daisy Buchanan would be quite pleased. :) Be sure to check out the rest of the shoot, styled and photographed by Alea Lovely, on Ruffled!
Love,
Lisa
love the headband! it’s kind of strange how popular the great gatsby is for weddings…it’s not the best love story around haha

Such gorgeous photos–and I can’t wait to see snapshots from Emily’s wedding, either! But can you imagine the pressure? Yikes!
Oh gosh, I know right! She seems to have been a very graceful bride so far though, so here’s to hoping she can carry that through the week!
