Dress Envy

Weddings

By now, I’m sure everyone has admired the recaps of the recent Bridal Market (Southern Weddings has some great ones, if you missed it!), and are either pro-no-white-in-the-new-Vera-Wang-collection, or against it. It’s certainly odd for such an iconic gown designer to skip the typical wedding dress color, and I’m still trying to decide how I feel about it. So far, my conclusion is that I like the beige and don’t like the black–I’m a little too traditional to love any wedding gown that’s too different of a color! That being said, if I were ever to leap outside of my comfort zone and rock a colored dress, I know what color it would be…

The prettiest shade of sherbet, like this gown in a Style Me Pretty photo shoot. It’s feminine and romantic, and even though it’s not a white, it projects the same wedding-day-feel as a white gown would.

If you had to pick a colored wedding gown, what would it be? :)

Love,

Lisa

That dress is stunning… I think I would wear something like that!!
{This coming from the girl that is having an indian wedding – future hubs is indian – so I will be REALLY straying from the traditional white I’m used to!

I’m with you-black is just too much for my taste! A high school pal of mine got hitched this past weekend and wore a gorgeous gown with bits of blue-it was so spectacular!

  4. Kristen says:

I would go with BLUSH. as long as its light and has lots of tulle, I would be good :)

  5. I can’t do the black wedding gowns… some of the pieces would be pretty as evening gowns, but not for a wedding!
