As a lot of you know, my boyfriend and I are in a long distance relationship. I live in Texas and he lives in Ohio… about a 19 hour drive or a $450 plane ride. And I won’t downplay it–it can be really, really hard. I cannot even fully express my admiration and respect for military wives/fiancees/girlfriends for what they go through, and their experiences put my own in perspective. In honor of Memorial Day, here is how I picture a perfect Memorial Day weekend military wedding, full of patriotic colors, sentimental touches (like a mailbox for love letters), and all-American details.
