On days when I wake up without my outfit for the day planned, I often find myself reaching for a blazer. I have an amazing blazer from Tally Weill that has 3/4 sleeves and is made out of sweatshirt material. The fabric could not be more comfortable, but the blazer cut makes my whole outfit look polished. Ever since I scored an eggplant colored velvet blazer at Loft over the weekend for $11 (steal!), I’ve been thinking about my favorite ways to style blazers. Here’s a round up!
{Dressy: layered over a silk floral top (Lauren Conrad for Kohls) or a sweet dress and lots of accessories (Cupcakes and Cashmere)}
{Casual: with boyfriend jeans and a white tee (Haley of MaraisUSA for Matchbook Mag) or a plaid scarf and bright boots (Cupcakes and Cashmere)}
{Whimsical: layered over prints, like Parisian stripes (Cupcakes and Cashmere) or cute polka dots (EmersonMade)}
{Fun: paired with shorts in different colors and fabrics, like silk and leather (Paper Crown) or denim chambray and khaki (J. Crew)}
How do you wear blazers? Keep an eye out in the upcoming weeks for my first “outfit post” attempts to see how I wear mine :)
Love,
Lisa
My goal before the Spring officially gets here is to find a nice cute cream colored blazer!
I’ve seen a really nice one at H&M! It was maybe $50 about a month ago, so I would check there… maybe it’ll be on sale by now :)
i LOVE blazers!!
Okay, we have to be on the same wave length or something, because I was thinking about doing a post on blazers for Wed too! (Didn’t happen… too busy) But how funny!! I’m in the market for a nice blazer. I haven’t invested in one yet! But I obviously need to… Have a great weekend! It’s almost Spring Break! xo
