The first time Dave ever bought me flowers was for Valentine’s Day 2013, about a month after we reconnected (we studied abroad together in 2010 and lost touch for three years before getting together, very long story very short!). That was also the first time he had to address the conundrum of wanting to get me flowers, but knowing I’m annoyingly picky about them. While I would, of course, love and appreciate the gesture of ANY flowers, he knew I probably wouldn’t really love most of the actual arrangements he could have delivered. His incredibly sweet solution was that he asked a friend of mine to run to my favorite wholesale flower shop, Austin Flower Company, to pick up pink peonies and deliver them herself! I was a goner :) Lucky for boyfriends/fiancés/husbands like Dave though, there are a few companies out there now who have raised the bar in a big way when it comes to delivery blooms, so I wanted to share a few in time for Valentine’s Day!

Another fantastic option: check if local flower shops and florists are offering Valentine’s Day arrangements. Here are a few in particular that I love!
