Choosing our Christmas Cards + A Giveaway!

Main

I try not to go overboard committing to holiday traditions, but one that I particularly cherish is sending out Christmas cards. Especially living far away from family and having friends across the country (something I think all millenials can relate to!), there is something so special about sending snail mail and catching up with people during the holiday season. I’m so thankful that the tradition of sending Christmas cards hasn’t been replaced by something virtual–in fact, I think my generation values it even more, since good mail is few and far between!

Even though we’re all busy, especially this time of year, Minted makes choosing and sending beautiful and personal cards SO easy. We used them last year for our newlywed Christmas cards and loved both the experience and the quality of our cards, so there was no question that we’d be going back to them for our first cards featuring our family of three. Their free address assistant will be more valuable than ever now that I’m getting ready for the holidays while working around a new baby’s schedule! I’m blown away by Minted’s selection every single year (they work with a huge network of independent designers), but managed to narrow it down to a few favorites that I’m trying to decide between. P.S. We’ll be using a photo from our newborn session (I can think of no sweeter way to introduce our faraway card recipients to Charlie!), but I used some of our maternity photos as placeholders while we wait for our newborn pictures!

By the way, if you love one of these designs for yourself, know that they all come in a few different colorways and wording options to choose from! Minted is also awesome about making customizations to their designs, so if a few tweaks would result in your perfect card, it’s definitely worth asking them about.

I am THRILLED that Minted has offered to give away three $100 gift cards to Something Pretty readers!! Enter the giveaway here by November 15 for a chance to win. The winner will be contacted via email on the 15th. Good luck, friends–I know you’ll love these cards as much as I do!

P.S. If you don’t win the giveaway, keep an eye on Minted.com–they almost always have discounts going on! Best of all, you can purchase your cards any time, and then go back to customize them later, so you don’t have to miss out on a discounted price even if you haven’t chosen a photo yet :) Starting today, all foil items are 20% off, and holiday cards are 15% off orders of 150+ and 10% off order of 100+!

Thank you so much to Minted for partnering with me on this post! They graciously provided our cards this year, but I would have used them even if they hadn’t :)
