Five Looks: Thanksgiving Day

Style

Hi from Texas! I’m so happy to be home with my family this week–it’s the first time we’ve all been together since my wedding, so it’s extra special! It’s also Dave’s first Thanksgiving at my house, so I’m looking forward to introducing him to my family’s little traditions, especially my mom’s chocolate chip pecan pie. What are your plans for Thursday? I think Thanksgiving Day can sometimes be a little hard to dress for, especially if you’re spending it in a different place than usual–you want to look presentable enough to see extended family members or meet new people, but still comfy enough to watch football on the couch or help yourself to a second helping of mashed potatoes. I rounded up these five looks with that in mind, and I love that they all include polished, but cozy, staples that I’m sure you already have in your closet!

What are you wearing on Thursday? After running in the Turkey Trot 5K, I’m thinking of changing into my navy gingham shirt, black pants, and black bow flats (super similar to these) for the last day of my fall capsule wardrobe!

We’re running a Turkey Trot at church, then I’ll be stepping into some black leggings with a nice, stretchy waistband accompanied by a loose teal blouse. Bring on the Thanksgivibg feast!

Happy Thanksgiving week! So happy for you that you get to spend the holiday with your family in Texas! Your momma’s Chocolate Pecan Pie sounds delicious…my favorite pie actually ;-)

No Thanksgiving feast for me this year due to studying abroad in England but my birthday is this Friday and I’m looking forward to spending a weekend in London with my best girls :-)

Cozy sweater and leggings :) I want that forest green Kate bag.
