November Goals

Goals

November is one of my favorite months, and I’m so glad it’s here! The impending start of the holidays makes me giddy, and to add to the excitement, the new issue of Southern Weddings comes out this week. It’s surreal and thrilling to see what we’ve been working on all year come to fruition and I hope y’all take a peek at it on news stands! In the same way, I’ve been thinking a lot about how by now, most of the goals I set at the beginning of the year should be wrapping up or already showing fruits. I’m really proud and grateful looking back at this year and seeing how much has changed, both big and small, and I hope to finish this year really well!

October Goals

1. Complete month #2 of my capsule wardrobe. (Recap #2 here)
2. Make healthy choices during my travels.
3. Send a postcard or letter every week to someone I love. (3 out of 4–hoping to make this a weekly habit!)
4. Start brainstorming about Christmas shopping!

November Goals

1. Celebrate well! Our six month anniversary, the launch of Southern Weddings V8, and Thanksgiving in Texas.
2. Train for the Turkey Trot 5k and beat my previous 5k time.
3. Clean out our bathroom cabinets and bookshelves.
4. Complete all Christmas shopping. (If this is on your list too, I have some fun posts coming up this month that I hope will help!)

  3. Such a pretty photo of you! Love that y’all will be celebrating six months of marriage and I can’t wait to celebrate with you at the V8 Launch Party!!! :)

  4. Mary says:

What a fun month! I was just looking into the Turkey Trot. Are you doing the one in Houston or in the Woodlands?

    • Lisa says:

We’re doing the one in The Woodlands! My family has a running team and a walking team :) Let me know if you do it and we’ll have to meet up! P.S. I have been trying to comment on your blog posts lately and it keeps giving me an error message :( Loving all of your posts lately though!

  5. Jennifer says:

Yay for completing all of your October goals! I’m so glad I also added the one postcard/week to my October goals…completed it and it was the one goal that brought me the most joy last month! Thank you for the inspiration :)

November is super busy for me with two essays due in the middle of the months and two trips (a concert in Germany and my birthday weekend in London) planned so I gave myself grace and only set few and small goals.

    Happy 6 month’s anniversary to y’all :)

    • Lisa says:

Cheers to snail mail! I’m sure you brought a lot of other people joy by completing that goal too!

So many things coming up for you this month! Good luck with your essays, and I hope your travels (and birthday!!) are wonderful!

  7. This picture of you is so beautiful! I’m really impressed you’re finishing Christmas shopping this month – I honestly haven’t even begun to think about it, which is a little unusual for me. I’m so glad you get to spend Thanksgiving (and your first married one!) in Texas!!

    • Lisa says:

Thank you! There is definitely still plenty of time for Christmas shopping :) I am so excited to be in Texas for Thanksgiving! Are you sticking around the Triangle for the holidays, or heading somewhere else?

  8. Richard says:

    Turkey trot! Yeah!
And Christmas shopping is done on Christmas Eve. I thought everybody knew that.

  9. Victoria says:
