Cocktails and Desserts Birthday Party

Celebrations

Once all of the details were in place, the party was ready to begin! My friends arrived looking gorgeous, and after mixing their champagne cocktails and enjoying the desserts, we used the cute polka dot note cards Minted sent me for a little question-and-answer game. Each person came up with a question for the group, and when everyone had written down their answers, I read them out loud and we had three guesses to try to figure out whose answer it was. It was a great way for people who didn’t know each other well to get better acquainted, and of course, it’s always fun learning new things about friends. A few of my favorite questions were what did you want to be when you grew up as a kid, where would you go tomorrow if money was not object, and describe your dream wedding dress. So fun!

The photo backdrop at my Christmas party was such a hit, I decided to create one for this party as well. I bought two yards of adorable turquoise Greek key fabric at Hobby Lobby and hung it up, accented with one of my favorite things from my room–the pink “Keep Austin Weird” sign I bought off the wall at a local boutique. Pictured above are one of my best friends from high school, two of my sweet sorority sisters, and the girls in the magazine journalism program with me who make school bearable. I loved having everyone there to celebrate!

Also present was another one of my best friends from high school, who took all of these gorgeous pictures! You may remember Aelish from the BHLDN Week Store Tour, and she is officially my favorite person to be photographed by. I’m so thankful for her enthusiasm and creativity on blog projects like this, and I’m sure this isn’t the last you’ll see of her work here!

Finally, a huge thanks to Minted for the adorable decor they sent me. They have so many amazing products in their party decor site, and I can’t recommend checking it out highly enough.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Love, Lisa
