Late Summer Navy

Weddings

September is a funny month. I spent the weekend in Ohio to attend a lovely little wedding, and the weather was absolutely to die for. I can’t believe I spent three years in the Midwest, but I’d already forgotten how gorgeous September is there! Austin has been kind this week, but we’ll be back in the 100s within a day or two. With this kind of discrepancy across the country, it’s a little hard to distinguish between summer and fall. I waxed poetic about unexpected fall wedding color combinations last year (see a few favorite inspiration boards here and here), and you’d better believe my feelings are still the same on the subject. :) For this early in the season, I think a navy and gold color theme could be fresh, rustic, and rich–the perfect bridge between summer and fall.

Fun fact: that navy lace gown from the Monique Lhuillier runway show inspired this whole board! Isn’t it incredible? To get a similar look, I would have bridesmaids wear a dress like this. Unless a bride is brave enough to wear navy Monique, of course!

Love, Lisa
