Flowery Footwear

Weddings

One line from The Devil Wears Prada that makes me laugh is when Meryl Streep says sarcastically, “Florals? For spring? Ground breaking.” Despite that comment by “Miranda Priestly,” I don’t think any prettiness-obsessed girl can turn down a sweet flowery print, especially as the days get longer and warmer!

One of my favorite ways to add florals to your spring outfits is with shoes. From an elegant pump to a cute oxford, there are so many fun options. And of course, many of these would make adorable bride/bridesmaid shoes that would be so easy to wear again! (Except the oxfords… sneakers with wedding dresses is a major pet peeve of mine. It’s not cute. Just don’t do it :P)

{Top to bottom, left to right: BHLDN, Seychelles, Lulu’s, Kate Spade, Chinese Laundry, Forever21, Impo Neesha, Nine WestSteve Madden}

I would love any of those wedges with either cuffed boyfriend jeans and a breezy top or a white sundress and panama hat. Now tell me your outfit ideas! What would you wear with any of these floral shoes?

Have a wonderful weekend and a happy Easter!

Love,

Lisa

    “it’s not cute, just don’t do it. :)” MY FAVORITE LINE EVER.

  2. Oh so true – florals may not be groundbreaking for spring, but I still adore them nonetheless! And those shoes from BHLDN.. *sigh* if I had an extra $350 to spend on a probably pretty impractical pair of shoes, they would be mine in a heartbeat!

    i was going to buy floral espadrilles for my swim banquet from forever 21 but mother insisted they were too “high.” i reeeeeeeally like these chinese laundry ones though.

  4. Don’t worry I will be sure to never pair oxfords and wedding dresses together. Let’s just both opt for a pair of Louboutin’s shall we? If only… I do, though, love the floral oxfords! They’re great for Spring! And that DWP quote is too funny. Gotta love her. Have a wonderful weekend! xo
